Feel like shopping? Kampen has the longest shopping street of the Netherlands! This street, the Oudestraat, meanders through the atmospheric and monumental city centre and is a succession of exclusive boutiques, trendy home décor stores, hip clothing stores and novel specialty stores.
Most stores are opened from Monday through Friday from 9.30 to 17.30/18.00 o’clock. Late night shopping is possible every Friday, when the stores are opened until 21.00 o’clock. On Saturday, the stores opened until 17.00 o’clock.
Every Monday morning from 8.30 until 12.30 o’clock, Kampen is home to a convivial market at Nieuwe Markt/Burgwal/Meeuwenweg. This is your stop for vegetables, fruit, fish, fabrics, clothing, shoes, herbs, bread and cheese.
Every Saturday from 9.00 to 17.00 o’clock, there is a market at the Nieuwe Markt in Kampen.
IJsselmuiden has a general market at the Markeresplein every Friday afternoon from 13.00 until 17.30 o’clock.
